We are excited to share with you that one of our partners, Writing On The Wall, has opened applications for their popular, Write to Work, a 12-week skills development course.

Applications are now LIVE. Write to Work is a FREE, online writing course for unemployed learners in the LCR.

Write to Work offers 12 weeks of workshops, led by published writers and industry professionals. This course covers a range of writing skills, from copywriting to blogging, from music review to the screenplay, and much more. Using creativity, Write to Work has a proven success rate of building confidence, developing writing skills, and helping learners to take their next steps into further education or employment.

The course also includes one-to-one mentoring and the opportunity to be published in a printed anthology, which will be available in local bookshops, including News from Nowhere and Waterstones-Liverpool One.

Applications are LIVE until Monday 28th June 12pm.

Here is some feedback from our previous participants:

‘This course has quite literally changed my life. It has been one of the best things I have ever done. The tutors and the staff who run the course have been so personable and welcoming, inspiring, and encouraging that for the first time ever I have started to believe that my voice is important and has value.’

‘I sometimes cannot quite believe I had the chance to be part of this course from which I learned so much. The benefits were not just in terms of improving my writing but also in terms of accepting myself as a writer and the gaining of confidence.’

Eligibility: To apply you must be unemployed, be eligible to work and live in the UK, be 18 years or older, living in the Liverpool city region (including the areas of Wirral classed as Merseyside), and as the course is taught online through zoom, you will need access to the internet.
